Stand Up Paddleboard Fin options.
A Fin style can change the way your Stand up Paddleboard (SUP) will ride and handle. Variations include but are not limited to : Large single fin: This is placed in a fin box and secured with a nut and screw. The fin box has a channel for the fin to slide back and forth in, allowing for quick adjustment and fine tuning of fin placement. 3-fin setup: Also called a thruster, this setup promotes straight tracking on flatwater and offers good control and drive in the surf. Race fins: These straighter, stiffer fins are best for downwind runs because they help longer boards (up to 14') track easier in large wind waves or rolling swell. Fins for inflatable SUPs: Inflatable SUPs feature either flexible rubber fins attached to the board or detachable semi-rigid fins that can be removed.
